The week before Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in her bathtub, her father Bobby Brown presented Usher with the Musical Arts Award at the BET Honors.
The awards ceremony aired last night and social media lit up as many thought Brown attended the event while his daughter remained in a coma.
BET tweeted a statement to explain that the show was pre-taped on Jan. 24. Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her Georgia home on Jan. 31 and rushed to the hospital.
“Continued prayers for King of R&B Bobby Brown during this difficult time. (The #BETHonors is pre-taped),” the tweet read.
Not everyone on Twitter saw the BET statement and some simply refused to believe it.

Bobby has held vigil by the bedside of his and Whitney Houston’s daughter as she remains in critical condition. He has not left the Atlanta hospital in weeks and reportedly refused to take her off life support.
