'Supergirl' will welcome a visit from her superhero cousin Superman.
The CBS series has put out a casting call for a body double of a DC Comics Superhero, according to Project Casting (via KryptonSite). The actor must stand 5 foot 11 or taller, have a square jaw and a ripped physique.
Interested applicants must send in their information to the provided email using the subject line "SUPERMAN." The description suggests the character will not be named and may only appear from a distant or from behind.
The notice is for the "Supergirl" pilot episode, which starts shooting in March. CBS gave the show a series commitment last September, and it's likely to get picked up for the 2015-2016 fall TV season.
Tom Welling last played the Man of Steel on television in the WB/CW series "Smallville." The show also featured the Supergirl character, played by Laura Vandervoot.
"Glee" star Melissa Benoist will star as the Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. Supergirl. The show has also cast Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olson, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Laura Benanti as Kara's birth mother from Krypton.
