George Clooney and girlfriend Stacey Keibler have ended their relationship after two years of dating, People Magazine reported.
Though many women couldn't dream of saying goodbye to the handsome and eternally eligible bachelor, a source told the mag that Keibler was the one to end it.
"She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that," the source said. "They talked quietly and stopped being a couple several weeks ago."
This news stands contrary to Keibler's attitude last year when she told E! News that having children was not on her radar.
"I'm definitely the girl who doesn't talk about that kind of stuff," she said. "I'm not really interested in marriage or kids at all."
Another source blames the split on the power couple's busy schedules.
"They haven't seen each other in awhile and they've both been working so much in recent months, they've started growing apart," the source said.
Clooney has been in Berlin filming "The Monuments of Men," a new flick also starring Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett. While Keibler did visit her beau on set back in March, the starlet is now busy hosting her new show "Supermarket Superstar," a Lifetime competition series that gives undiscovered food entrepreneurs the chance to prove that their products can compete with successful supermarket brands.
While she is getting ready for the show's premiere on July 22, Clooney was recently spotted celebrating July 4 at his Italian Villa, sans Keibler. The breakup was apparently a friendly one and Keibler and Clooney are reportedly on good terms.
"They talk every day," a souce said. "They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after."
