If the latest rumors are accurate, a videotape is set to be released sometime in the near future, which depicts Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant doing something "five times worse" than former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and could put his NFL career in jeopardy.
Bryant and the Cowboys, per Terez Owens, have been unable to come to agreement on a contract extension at least partially due to the existence of the controversial video.
"According to our source, the Cowboys haven't done a huge deal with Dez because of concern over the video," reads the Terez Owens report. "Unfortunately Bryant's team won't be able to stop the tape from getting out to the public. Of course Cowboys COO Stephen Jones denies knowledge of such a video. This is going to be a game changer for the Cowboys future."
The report also alleges that the tape will be released sometime soon.
"We're being told the Cowboys have warned Dez the tape is going to be released, and from someone who has seen it, that it's five times worse than the Ray Rice Video. His football career is in jeopardy according to our source. Also a Dez insider tells us he is being brainwashed by Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports."
Rice, of course, was suspended by the NFL after video emerged of him punching his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City elevator.
ESPN's Adam Schefter appeared on the Carmen and Jurko show recently and would reveal only that he has "been in on it since September" - seemingly confirming the existence of the video - meaning that if the video does actually exist, the Cowboys and Bryant have known about it for months. Schefter refused to comment further on the matter.
Bryant wrote a short diatribe on Twitter on Feb. 20, seemingly directed at the Cowboys - though he doesn't mention any actual names - stating that he's "not ashamed of none of my past incidents" and "it's clear as day what's going on."
Jones, via Mike Fisher of CowboysHQ.com, has denied the existence of the tape.
Jaywan, Inc. - whose Twitter profile refers to himself as a "Grammy Nominated Producer" - alleged via a series of Tweets that Bryant's former friends are the ones who have the tape and are using it to extort the uber-talented receiver.
