After 18 years of marriage, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith still have some issues to work out in their relationship.
The former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star revealed that he and his wife have a hard time separating their work lives from their personal lives.
Though Will admitted in an interview with Hollywood Life that he feels as if his marriage is a strong and resilient one, there is still room for improvement.
"You know that is really interesting, Jada and I have a struggle with that a little bit because the thing is one person is in work mode while the other is in chill mode," Smith said.
Smith expressed that it is a rare occasion for all areas of their lives to be copacetic at the same time.
"Then it's like, you both are trying to come up and it is something that will happen in time and you will realize that you are committed in having a relationship or you are really committed to work and at some point one or the other will have to suffer."
Will Smith has been occupied with promoting his new movie "Focus," which is set to debut tomorrow Feb. 27, while Jada has been busy with "Gotham"-related projects. The 46-year-old actor chocks their marital problems up to the fact that they are both ambitious people with lofty goals in the entertainment industry.
In an effort to (possibly) revive his early rap career, Smith was rumored to be recording songs with Kanye West, according to the Daily Mail. The "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" singer is still not sure about dipping his feet back into the music world.
"You know I've recorded a lot, I don't have anything I like yet, but I've recorded around 7 or 8 (tracks)," he said.
Smith took the mic on "The Late Show" where he rapped "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It." He made an appearance on "The Tonight Show: Starring Jimmy Fallon" and rapped "It Takes Two" for the crowd, according to Hollywood Life. Guess he's using talk shows to warm up and get reunited with his old roots.
Will and Jada seem to be working through whatever issues they may be having. The couple walked the red carpet on Tuesday for the premiere of "Focus," and an insider said that Jada "glowed" when her husband kissed her, and the two were seen smiling and embracing one another often.
Back in Nov. 2013, a rumor surfaced that Smith had cheated on his longtime lover with co-star Margot Robbie, who is 22 years his junior. Robbie denied the rumors, calling them "ridiculous," Us Weekly reported.
Smith told reporters Tuesday that he doesn't think it's wise for colleagues to date one another.
"Ooh, no fishing off the company pier is the first rule," he said.
Will and Jada have two children together - Jaden, 16, and Willow, 14.
