Golden State (44-10) sits atop the Western Conference with a four-game lead over No. 2 Memphis. The Warriors bounced back from their loss at Indiana on Sunday with Tuesday's 114-107 win at Washington. The win against Washington marked the return of guard Stephen Curry, who missed Sunday's game because of an injured ankle. Although Curry dropped 32 points against the Wizards, he admitted his ankle still wasn't 100 percent.
"It's still not pain free, but it felt fine," he said, via ESPN. "Once you start playing the adrenalin kicks in and you don't feel anything. It was good to just break a sweat in the first quarter, and feel active and not limited at all."
Golden State is 24-2 at home, but they've struggled on the road. They've lost seven of their last 14 road games while giving up 104.7 points per game, according to ESPN, and Thursday's trip to Cleveland won't be any easier.
The Cavaliers (36-22) found their footing in 2015 and have been hot since mid-January, catapulting into the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. They're on a three-game winning streak, with their latest victory coming on Tuesday against Detroit, 102-93.
"Defense is our mark, and we understand that," said Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, whose team held Detroit to just 31 points in the second half. "When we defend at a high level, we put ourselves in a position to win every night and be successful long-term."
