Jay Z Meets His ‘Saturday Night Live’ Impersonator Jay Pharoah

Many of the celebrities who attended the 40th anniversary special of "Saturday Night Live" have been lampooned or impersonated on the show like Jay Z, who came face to face with the cast member who has imitated him multiple times.

Jay Pharoah quickly bumped into Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé at the "SNL 40" after-party on Feb. 15 at the Plaza Hotel. The two didn't speak long, but it appears the rapper has no problem with Pharoah's impersonation.

"At the after-party, Jay Z came up to me and said, 'What up fake Jay Z, hahaha," the "SNL" player told Page Six. "Beyonce was like, 'I don't want to say anything about you because I don't want you to impersonate me.'"

Jay Z was spared from Pharoah's impersonation during the three-hour "SNL" special, but Maya Rudolph spoofed the "Drunk in Love" singer in an extended sketch with Martin Short.

Pharoah started as a featured player on the NBC sketch comedy show in 2010. He regularly impersonates Kanye West, Michael Strahan and President Barack Obama.
