Nokia's Lumia 1020 is likely going to be unveiled at a special press event held by the company on Thursday. However, the new Windows powered phone has already made its debut on the Web.
The company is holding a press event on Thursday that will "reinvent zoom" but The Verge has already obtained several images of the phone that can be found HERE.
According to the site, the Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone will come complete with a 41-megapixell camera and PureView branding. Rumors speculate it will come with a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. Some other leaked functions from earlier this week include a wide-angle lens for the front facing camera. Many of these features were parts of the rumor mill that has been circulating around the Nokia Lumia's launch for the past few weeks. However, if The Verge's press photos are correct, this would be the first confirmation of any of these features.
Nokia's PureView camera is expected to include a Xenon flash and F/2.2 lens, also with a new Pro Camera application and the company's OIS stabilization. It's becoming more and more clear that Nokia hopes to set itself apart from other smartphone cameras, with a feature heavy camera app. It will even allow options to toggle aspect ratio on photos and enable a "dual capture" mode that takes images at different resolutions at the same time.
Meanwhile AT&T has shared a video about the Lumia 1020 in which it notes the device's support of a 6x zoom in 720p and the ability to record "high quality stereo with deep bass" through a digital high performance microphone. The video can be seen below. While most of these details are still classified as leaks, only time will tell just how much of the information received today is actually true when the device is truly unveiled later on Thursday. The video can be found HERE.
