George Clooney and Scarlett Johansson were allegedly "caught" flirting on the set of their new movie "Hail Caesar," but Clooney is NOT divorcing wife Amal for the blonde beauty.
The rumor circulated after the National Enquirer - a tabloid known for over-exaggerations and fabrications of celebrity stories - reported that the 53-year-old actor was behaving "like a single man."
Amal supposedly read Clooney "the riot act" about his so-called charming nature around other women, a "source" told the Enquirer.
The source also said that Clooney's behavior was the "last straw" for Amal, who supposedly wants to divorce the actor after just 5 months of marriage. Clooney allegedly ditched Amal on her birthday - Feb. 3 - to film extra scenes with Johansson, which then led to a "screaming match" between the newly married couple.
"While Amal is an accomplished international lawyer, she's no movie star - and someone as gorgeous as Scarlett gets under Amal's skin. George says there's nothing more than a movie friendship on the set, but Amal's seeing red!" the insider said, according to Radar Online.
Johansson is happily married to French journalist Romain Dauriac with whom she shares a baby girl, but all of that "doesn't matter" to Amal.
To top it off, Clooney attempted to make up for his actions on Valentine's Day, but Radar Online reported that he screwed that up big-time when he invited at least five of Amal's friends. Not the greatest idea for a romantic date.
See, even celebrities get jealous of other female co-stars, especially if their husband is starring alongside Scarlett Johansson. That can make any woman's stomach churn.
