After turning 21-years-old last month, Justin Bieber decided that it's finally time to grow up.
"This has really been a big year for me, as far as figuring stuff out," Bieber told Men's Health. "This is almost like a full 180 from how I was. Yesterday - a year from yesterday - I was in jail."
Bieber admitted in his interview with Men's Health that part of the problem was that he just didn't want to grow up.
"There's a part of me that I don't ever want to grow up," Bieber said. "I want to always remain...to have that sense of purity inside of me where I don't...I don't want to lose that sense of purity."
Like many young stars, Bieber reflected on the challenges he faced growing up in the public eye.
"[It's] almost like I grew up for the public but I didn't necessarily grow up. There were things I had to do, as far as the way I had to make relationships, and conversation, but as far as actually growing up, there were a lot of things I missed out on."
While it's good to hear that the star recognizes that he has some maturing to do, it's not the first time he publicly made this promise.
After he appeared on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" earlier this year he vowed to become a more responsible person in an emotional video.
