Nick Gordon has checked into drug rehab following an interview with Dr. Phil and a suicide threat on Twitter earlier in the week, according to TMZ.
Gordon has struggled to cope with the hospitalization of his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, who remains in a medically-induced coma. He sat down with the TV host Phil McGraw for a one-on-one interview, but it reportedly turned into an intervention organized by Dr. Phil and Gordon's mother, according to TMZ.
During the taped interview, Gordon spoke about committing suicide if Brown failed to wake up from her coma. His mother also feared her son was "severely depressed and abusing drugs."
Gordon last tweeted on March 4 to wish his girlfriend a "Happy Birthday" and say he wanted to be by her side. Brown's family, specifically her father, has kept her boyfriend from visiting the hospital.
The day before her birthday, Gordon wrote, "I'm so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to [be] strong."
It's unknown where or for how long Gordon will be in rehab.
