NBC Pulls ‘Allegiance,’ Pushes ‘The Slap’ Two Hours Later

NBC will reshuffle its Thursday night lineup starting on March 12.

The network is pulling the new show "Allegiance" from the schedule after posting poor ratings over its first five weeks. The show starred Gavin Stenhouse as a CIA agent whose parents (Hope Davis and Scott Cohen) were former KGB.

NBC announced it will fill the 10 p.m. hole by pushing back its other new series, "The Slap," from 8 p.m. "The Blacklist" will remain at 9 p.m.

The James Spader thriller will team with "Dateline: The Real Blacklist," airing at 8 p.m., to create a special-themed two-hour programming block. NBC News' Richard Engel will host "Dateline: The Real Blacklist" which focuses on conspiracy-themed investigations and crimes that involve larger-than-life perpetrators and circumstances.

The first edition will feature the 2006 poisoning death of former Russian spy and businessman, Alexander Litvinenko. Future episodes will focus on the murder investigation of Gregory Faull in Belize and the jewel heists committed by the Pink Panther Gang.

NBC has not announced when or if it will air any remaining episodes of "Allegiance."
