It turns out a trip to Turkey was all it took for the Seattle Seahawks to finally convince running back Marshawn Lynch to agree to a new deal.
Lynch, per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, has agreed to a new deal with the Super Bowl-runner up Seahawks.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport followed up shortly thereafter, tweeting that "Marshawn Lynch is headed to Seattle to meet with #Seahawks brass, including owner Paul Allen. He has a deal waiting for him if he wants."
Lynch set a career-high with 17 all-purpose touchdowns for Seattle last season. He also set the mark for the second-best per carry average of his career with 4.66.
He finished last year with 1,306 yards rushing on 280 carries.
The 28-year-old Lynch has been integral to the recent run of dominance from the Seahawks under head coach Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider, helping the franchise reach the Super Bowl two seasons in a row, emerging victorious once.
UPDATE: ProFootballTalk reports it's a three-year, $31 million deal.
