PETA Slams '19 Kids & Counting’ Star Derick Dillard For Trying to Run Over a Cat With a Sled (VIDEO)

PETA isn't happy with the "19 Kids & Counting" clan.

The animal rights group released a statement criticizing Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard and demanding that he apologize after posting a disturbing video of himself almost running over a cat while sledding.

In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, Dillard can be heard yelling "move, cat," as he positions himself on top of a slight hill. The reality star then gets pushed in the cat's direction, forcing the feline to run away. Several members of the Duggar clan can be heard cheering on the soon-to-be father.

Dillard posted the video on his Instagram page, writing, "Sledding with friends and family at the Duggar home."

According to Radar Online, Sarah Withrow King, director of Christian Outreach and Engagement at PETA, wrote an open letter to Dillard regarding his actions.

"In response to the video you posted on your Instagram account on March 1, which depicts you apparently purposely sledding directly into an unsuspecting cat," the letter read. "Almost more disturbing than your enjoyment in it was your family's."

In an interview with Radar Online, King said, "Might doesn't make right, but that's the message Derick Dillard sent to scores of impressionable young children. PETA is asking him to apologize publicly for his actions and remind his followers that Jesus' command to 'do unto others' includes all of God's creatures."

The letter was also published on JesusPeopleForAnimals.com.

The reality star was also criticized by social media users, with comments such as, "I would think you would have some respect for all God's creatures. What a shame" and "Deliberately lining yourself up to slide directly into the cat is not something 'god' would want you to do."

Another user wrote, "Remember that cat is a creature of God. How do you think he would feel about you purposely trying to hurt something he created?"

Dillard has yet to comment on the video.
