Jennifer Garner says her kids don't like it when she plays a mom to other kids in her movies.
But the star of the upcoming film "Danny Collins" told E! in a video interview that it's an occupational hazard that she says she's used to these days.
In "Danny Collins," Garner not only plays a mom, but apparently spends time doing fun things and generally hanging out with her movie-role kids, no less.
"They don't like when I play a mom anyway," Garner told E! News. Watch the E! Video HERE.
Garner, 43, is married to actor Ben Affleck, who is the same age, and they have three children: Violet Anne Affleck, 10, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, 6, and Samuel Garner Affleck, 3.
Garner says she fends off jealousy from her husband as well, but not when she's working with his former co-star Al Pacino, who headlines "Danny Collins."
"They did 'Gigli' together and they became friends so then it was really fun for me to work with someone who loves him that much," she said.
As the lead role in "Danny Collins," Pacino plays an old rock star who goes in search of his family after finding a 40-year-old letter from John Lennon. Garner, who plays Samantha Leigh Donnelly, is joined in the cast by Christopher Plummer, Annett Bening and Bobby Cannavale.
The actress loves talking about her real family and has discussed maintaining the balance between work and children in previous reports.
"I have this internal battle between, I need to work, I need to work, I need to work and I need to be home with my kids," she told W magazine. "And the kids win...I live my life at these two extremes. I'm either a full-time stay-at-home mom or a full-time actress."
But her kids' jealousies aside, Garner is involved in many initiatives related to the welfare of children. She is a prominent member on the board of trustees for Save The Children.
