Fiat Chrysler is recalling 703,000 vehicles in order to fix a problem with their ignition switches.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration posted documents about the issue on its website Friday, stating that the defective ignition switches can rotate out of position, which can result in vehicles stalling, lose power and disable their air bags, according to Bloomberg.
The Italian automaker had previously recalled vehicles in 2011 and 2014 for the same reason in an attempt to fix the problem. No deaths have been reported connected to the current recall, though there was one report of crash connected to the defect. However, the crash did not result in any injuries.
Vehicles covered in the recall include 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravans and Chrysler Town and County minivans, as well as 2009-2010 Dodge Journey SUVs, NBC News reported.
Fiat Chrysler said customers should remove all items, including key fobs, from their key rings until the ignition switches are fixed, and that it plans on replacing defective switches for the 2008-2009 vehicles in April and the 2010 vehicles in August.
The move follows a year after General Motors recalled 2.6 million small cars due to a similar ignition switch problem, which is linked to at least 57 deaths and over 90 injuries.
