Bravo reality star Jaime Primak Sullivan, who is featured in the show "Jersey Belle," was one of the passengers on the Delta flight that made a skidding landing at LaGuardia Airport.
Primak Sullivan took to social media as the Delta 1086, originating from Atlanta, slid past the runway and crashed into a fence.
Primak Sullivan put out the following message via Twitter: "We just crash landed at LGA. I'm terrified..." The tweet came at 8:04 a.m., and was followed by a second tweet at 8:42 a.m. that read: "We have all been evacuated. Everyone is safe..."
According to NBC, the Delta flight encountered difficulty landing in the bad weather and the impact caused a fuel leak. The Port Authority said the fuel leaked at a rate of about 1 gallon a minute and was a concern during evacuation.
There were 149 people aboard the plane, which also included the New York Giants' Larry Donnell, who posted a short video to Instagram showing an orderly evacuation from the landing.
Meanwhile, MSNBC was the target of a practical joke when a prankster who claimed to be Donnell gave an on-air phone interview that resulted in the prankster shouting obscenities live on the air.
As for Primak Sullivan, it isn't known if she was on a business trip or pleasure trip to New York City. As illustrated on her show, she lives in Alabama and regularly travels to the Big Apple as well as Los Angeles for her work as a publicist.
She wrote in her blog for Bravo about the challenges to her marriage and her family life conducting her publicity business from Alabama. That conflict is the central drama of her show, a fish out of water story about a Northeasterner in a Southern culture.
While Primak Sullivan is able to conduct much of her business from home, she often travels to other cities to help clients with special events and face-to-face meetings.
The accident may force Primak Sullivan to think twice about living in Alabama and commuting to other cities for work.
