Jennette McCurdy's science-fiction drama "Between" finally has a release date, and the format in which it will brought to the masses on Netflix will be a switch from the streaming company's usual practice.
Premiering on May 21, the show will air every Thursday on City TV in Canada at 8 p.m. EST and then be put on Netflix when the episode ends at 9 p.m., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Netflix usually allows viewers to binge watch its originals shows, such as "Orange Is The New Black" and "House of Cards," by releasing complete seasons all at once. That is not the case with "Between" because the company is financing and producing the show along with City TV-- releasing all six episodes at once would deter ratings from the television station.
In "Between," McCurdy's character, Wiley Day, is the pregnant teenage daughter of a minister in the town of Petty Lake where, for some mysterious reason, people 21-years-old and up are dying from an unknown disease, according to a report from The Wrap.
