The “NBA 2K” franchise has been on top of the basketball videogame market for the past few years. So it was no surprise when the best NBA video game also recruited the best NBA player—in Miami Heat superstar LeBron James— to be the cover athlete for “NBA 2K14.”
This year, James is asking fans and gamers to help with the creation of “NBA 2K14”, specifically the game’s soundtrack, according to Gameranx.com. He posted a video on Instagram, requesting music suggestions for the game.
Below is a video by YouTube video game reviewer IpodKingCarter discussion the request. In it, he offers some possible directions in which the sound track could go including new music from unknown artists or a slew of hits from popular rappers and hip hop stars.
2K Spots could go a few ways with this. They could have a contest for aspiring artists to create songs for the new video game.
They could also have a few established recording artists create new songs that will provide a good listening experience for the gamer.
“NBA 2K14” has also released information about a few features that will come with the game this fall.
2K Sports has added more authentic celebrations to the game with the help of Golden State Warriors guard Kent Bazemore. Bazemore only averaged four mintues per game last season and had a lot of time to provide bench celebrations.
The game will also feature 14 Euroleague teams.
“NBA 2K14” will hit stores for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Oct. 1. There is no word on when the game will be released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
