Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock both want to make the streets of Hell's Kitchen a better place, but their forms of justice will seriously conflict.
Netflix has released the official trailer for "Marvel's Daredevil," which opens up with Vincent D'Onofrio's Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin explaining his view of the city he once wished to escape. He then bashes in a guy's face and wipes the blood off his face.
Over in court, Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil (Charlie Cox) gives a closing statement on the differences between good and evil, but leaves the door open for justice "outside of the law." The blind lawyer then swoops in wearing his ninja-like suit as he doles out such justice on the street.
The trailer also features Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Scott Glenn playing Murdock's mentor, Stick. The traditional red Daredevil suit doesn't make an appearance.
In a wink to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, an opposing attorney references a man in an "iron suit" (Iron Man) or with a "magic hammer" (Thor) as a reason why his clients keep getting beat up. Because as with everything under Marvel Studios, it's all connected.
Netflix will start streaming all 13 episodes of "Marvel's Daredevil" on Friday, April 10.
