This divorce is getting messy! TMZ reported that Nick Cannon filed a lawsuit against Mariah Carey's business manager Michael Kane over the sale of the former couple's $9 million mansion in Bel-Air.
According to documents obtained by E! News, the "America's Got Talent" host claims that he never authorized the sale of the mansion and was not informed of the sale after the property had been sold and the deal was finalized.
The 34-yet-old TV personality also claims that during the deal, Kane only dealt with Carey's representatives. Cannon reportedly does not have an issue with the selling of the house, but he is upset that Kane failed to keep him informed and is also concerned about how the proceeds from the sale will be divided between him and his soon-to-be ex-wife.
The documents obtained by E! News claim Cannon "has yet to see the estimated settlement agreement nor has he been provided with any information about required closing costs and loan payoffs, and other planned disbursements from escrow."
Cannon reportedly wants the $9 million frozen until he obtains a detailed accounting to find out how much money he will receive from the sale. Kane told TMZ that Cannon's lawsuit is "frivolous" and a "desperate act from a sadly desperate man."
Cannon shared the mansion with his estrange wife and their three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. The Daily Mail reported that Cannon and Carey bought the three-acre, six-bedroom and nine-bathroom home for $7 million back in 2009, but put it back on the market for $12.995 million in Feb 2014.
The gated property also has a home theater, game room, recording studio, indoor basketball court, master suite, dining room with a fireplace, massive kitchen, full bar, backyard access, swimming pool and views of the Stone Canyon Reservoir.
Nick filed for divorce from Mariah in December following their split last summer after six years of marriage.
