Miami Beach police have responded to the call of a multiple shooting at the home of rapper Lil Wayne on Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in at 12:20 p.m. on a non-emergency line, according to CBS 4 Miami. The caller said four people were shot at the residence on 94 La Gorce Circle on the upscale La Gorce Island.
Lil Wayne's record label Young Money Entertainment tweeted at 1:50 that he was okay and not home during the "alleged events." Weezy later tweeted a photo of him inside a recording studio.
Police set up a perimeter around the property and found no evidence of a shooting, bullet casings or bodies, in their sweep around the home. SWAT entered the home at 2:40 p.m. and found no evidence, leading the police to call the incident a "swatting" or hoax.
