The West Virginia Mountaineers play the Baylor Bears on Thursday in the 2015 Big 12 Men's Championship quarterfinals. Tipoff is at 12:30 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
No. 16 Baylor bounced back from an overtime loss at Texas and concluded its regular season on Friday with a 77-74 win against Texas Tech. The Bears (23-8, 11-7) rallied from behind and ended the game on an 18-9 run, according to ESPN. Junior forward Taurean Prince led the team with 24 points, and guard Kenny Chery and forward Rico Gathers each scored 18 points.
"It's real tough when you're pressing," Baylor coach Scott Drew said after the win, via ESPN. "Everybody wanted to win for Royce. They wanted to win for Kenny. The only thing that I really got to credit is the perseverance to stay within the game because we could have gotten more frustrated and we didn't."
The Bears head into their tournament-opener with the confidence of having swept West Virginia during the regular season, 87-69 on the road and 78-66 at home.
"We have people that can handle the ball well as well as handle pressure," Prince said of Baylor's success in the series. "We know what to do with the ball when we are double-teamed. Coach (Scott) Drew draws up great schemes and implements them well into our fast-break offense. We are able to execute and capitalize."
Although No. 18 West Virginia didn't fare well at all against Baylor this year, the Mountaineers (23-8, 11-7) enter the tournament with a record identical to Baylor's. West Virginia snapped its two-game losing streak in the regular-season finale with an 81-72 win over Oklahoma State, thanks in part to forward Devin William's 22 points.
