The latest victim of restructuring at Viacom is Paramount Pictures.
On Wednesday, the film studio/distributor and television production company laid off somewhere between 30 and 40 people from multiple departments, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"The personnel changes... are part of Viacom's previously announced restructuring effort," a Paramount Pictures spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. "These changes are designed to realign resources and create efficiencies in line with the evolving business environment."
Viacom chief executive Philippe Dauman said that restructuring, which will save the company $250 million, is on schedule to be done by April.
Comedy Central, Spike, MTV, Logo and VH1, all Viacom networks, have also undergone rounds of layoffs due to the restructuring.
