Sharon Osbourne is supporting her daughter Kelly one hundred percent on her decision to leave "Fashion Police."
"I stand by her. You know, she had an amazing five years on the show and she learned so much from Joan [Rivers]. It was just her time. She's got to grow up, move into the big world," the 62-year-old "Talk" co-host told "Extra's" Mario Lopez Tuesday.
The younger Osbourne's exit from the show last month came after some questionable comments were mentioned on air . . . even bolder and racier (literally) than those that the late Joan Rivers used to spew.
"Fashion Police" co-host Giuliana Rancic made a comment regarding Disney star Zendaya's hair at the Oscars.
"I feel like she smells like patchouli oil," Rancic said.
Kelly did not approve of the "joke" and took to Twitter to vent out her frustration. She wrote that she was "seriously questioning staying on the show" because of the incident, according to Us Weekly. Within days of the post, E! announced her decision to leave the show to "pursue other opportunities."
"There are lots of great names, lots of great people over at E! that they have under contract that they'll slip into that chair," Sharon said of her daughter's possible replacements. "It'll be done and dusted like that."
The network is currently considering NeNe Leakes, Chrissy Teigen or Amber Rose as options to fill Kelly's role.
Kelly also took the opportunity to discuss her departure when she appeared on her mom's talk show Tuesday.
"You know what; it was the five best working years of my life. I am so grateful for the experience -- working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much and I'm excited for my future. I want to try new things."
