Last night the Battle Rounds continued to blaze on "The Voice." While all the performances were stellar it was the coaches' "steals" that proved the real stars of the show; ensuring a second chance to a lucky handful in the competition.
Team Pharrell's Travis Ewing lost his battle to Anthony Riley only to be revived by Blake.
"That was a difficult performance," he tells HNGN.com. "I was accepting my fate, but wasn't sure if there would be a steal. I said my goodbyes and started to leave when Blake pushed his button. I was pretty surprised and relieved."
Following her battle, Team Blake's Hannah Kirby stood defeated alongside Sarah Potenza only to have Adam and Pharrell vying for her (she's now team Pharrell).
"Sarah and I worked so hard on the song," reveals Hannah. "I went in with the belief one of us would be stolen. I was just happy to be stolen! I had to believe I would be or I would have broken down."
Megan Lindsay may have lost her round against fellow Team Pharrell member Paul Pfau but won the support of all the remaining coaches when all pleaded she join them.
"It was surreal," she tells HNGN.com. "We worked hard on the song so that one would win and the other get stolen, that was the goal. It was really exciting to have all three coaches want me on their team- so cool!" I felt Blake really got me and believed in me so I went with my gut."
For the remaining contestants The Battle Rounds continue next week and for those who survived there's no time to rest. "Next come the Knock Out Rounds," laughs Cody Wickline of Team Blake. "That means being paired up again doing individual songs."
"The Voice" continues Monday night at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC as the Battle Rounds continue and more hopefuls continue their quest to become "The Voice."
