"Star Wars: Episode VIII" will hit theatres on May 26, 2017, according to Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger. Iger also announced that a standalone film titled "Rogue One" that is based on the Star Wars universe will be released in December of 2016.
So it appears as if the next installments in the Star Wars series are not that far, far away.

Iger revealed the big news at Thursday's annual meeting of Disney shareholders in San Francisco. In addition, the CEO also unveiled a Micke Mouse Apple Watch that will be available for purchase soon.
