Kanye West: ‘Anonymous’ Group Targets Rapper And His ‘Empty Accomplishments’ [VIDEO]

Under the guise of Anonymous, a group has lashed out Kanye West in a new video, targeting the rapper's big ego and wasted influence.

The YouTube page, Secret Anonymous Idea, posted the video titled "A Message to Mr. West" on Feb. 22. A man in the traditional Guy Fawkes mask addressed the rapper for 7 minutes and 23 seconds about his tendency to steal the spotlight and wasting his immense influence on sex and fashion.

When media outlets picked up on the video, the Twitter account for Anonymous distanced itself from the makers of the video.

The video starts with the clip of West giving his interview to E! News about Beck after the Emmys. It then shows the clip of him stealing the mic from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Other topics the video addresses include his promotion of wife Kim Kardashian and her sexual exploits (i.e. nude cover shoot for Paper magazine and sex tape with Ray J); spreading a better message for his daughter; and calling himself a Renaissance man.

"When you self-proclaim to be a modern Renaissance prodigy in your radio and TV interviews with such an obnoxious history, it p***** us off," the man in the mask says. "The historical men who made the Renaissance era impactful... many of them were sentenced to death because they dared to tell the truth and stood up to the powers who used fear to repress the truth from the people. You on the other hand have changed nothing."

The video makers think West squanders the opportunity to use his immense popularity and talent to better the world rather than waste it on his fashion line.

"We once had a great deal of respect for you. We admired your art, creativity, original vision and non-conformity in your work," he says. "But now, Anonymous has targeted you here with this message because you disgrace what we stand for."
