A married man from Nashville has filed a 50 page complaint in federal court last month against Apple Inc. He hopes to sue the tech giant for allowing him to become addicted to pornography.
According to DailyMail, Chris Sevier, 36, a lawyer, army veteran and amateur model is suing apple over what he claims to be an innocent spelling error. According to his complaint, one day he was trying to access the popular social networking site "Facebook" when he accidentally entered the popular pornography site "F**kBook." According to the complaint, which can be found HERE via Above the Law, this site "appealed to his biological sensibilities as a male and lead to an unwanted addiction." Apparently the spelling error resulted in him viewing a plethora of pornographic images, which then "poisoned his life" and "ruined his marriage." The problem became so bad that is wife left him, a problem that Sevier directly blames on, what he believes, is Apple's irresponsible practice of selling computers and mobile devices with no safe mode to block out unwanted pornographic websites. In the suit he claims that the porn stars he viewed had an unfair advantage in vying for his attention than his wife.
"The Plaintiff began desiring, younger more beautiful girls features in porn videos than his wife, who was no longer 21."
Sevier takes no responsibility for his addiction claiming he was doomed to failure as soon as he accidentally found his way to a pornography website. Without any restrictions on what he could and could not view, he was left no choice. Not only does he blame the website for his addiction, he feels Internet porn is contributing to the decline of brick and mortar or "mom and pop" porn shops. He feels that downloading porn online is a kin to downloading music of movies for free.
"But for the Plaintiff's use of the Apple product, the quality of the Plaintiff's life would have been much better and injury would have been avoided," the suit claims. Sevier's addiction and subsequent depression reached such heights that he apparently had to be hospitalized after the fallout of his wife leaving him.
