Johnny Manziel Leaves Manning Passing Camp Early — Because Of Hangover? (PICTURE)

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel left Peyton and Eli Manning's passing camp on Saturday due to an illness. The real reason for the Aggies' early departure, however, might have been the resultant hangover from partying too hard the night before, Deadspin.com reports.

Manziel, who attended the Manning Passing Academy in high school, had been invited by Peyton, Eli and Archie to work as a camp counselor. He didn't finish his stint due to an undisclosed illness, according to a camp spokesman (via ESPN):

"Johnny Manziel did not participate in some activities in the 2013 Manning Passing Academy as a college counselor/coach," the spokesman said in a statement. "After missing and being late for practice assignments, Johnny explained that he had been feeling ill. Consequently, we agreed that it was in everyone's best interest for him to go home a day early."

RumorsAndRants.com was more specific about the illness.

"Our boots on the ground in Thibodaux, La. — believe it or not, we have them — informed us that Johnny Manziel was sent home from the Manning Passing Academy on Saturday afternoon by Archie Manning himself.

"Our source, who wishes to remain anonymous because of his connection to the camp, gave us the scoop after Manziel showed up tardy Saturday afternoon after being out on the town Friday night. The Texas A&M star reportedly enjoyed himself a little too much Friday night and rolled back into the camp at Nicholls State University some time around noon Saturday before getting the boot."

A Louisiana-based reporter confirmed the story:

A photo from Friday, picturing Manziel and Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron at a Louisiana bar, appears to support the report that Manziel partied too hard the night before.

Whatever the illness might have been, it apparently wasn't enough to keep Manziel in on a Saturday night. Later that evening, after being dismissed from the camp, Manziel sightings at a Hookah bar popped up on twitter.
