Justin Bieber Roast: Singer Apologizes For Past, Humble During Event [REPORT]

Comedy Central Roasts are known for being completely crude and laugh out loud funny, but that may not be the case with the network's most recent one on Justin Bieber.

Past celebrities that have been roasted on Comedy Central include Flavor Flav, Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen. Bieber clearly does not exact fit in with that group. One comedian, Hannibal Buress, took it upon himself to blatantly express the ridiculousness of the event.

"They say that you roast the ones you love, but I don't like you at all, man," Buress said according to Rolling Stone's report on the roast.

I'm just here because it's a real good opportunity for me." he continued. "Actually, you should thank me for participating in this extremely transparent attempt to be more likable in the public eye. And I hope it doesn't work."

Buress was one of many prominent comedians and celebrities there, along with roastmaster Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Natasha Leggero and Chris D'Elia.

After the Buress comments, Bieber spent more time saying sorry than firing back at the comedians that made the crowd laugh at his expense, according to Variety.

"There was really no preparing me for this life," he said when he took the stage. "I was thrown into this at 12 years old, and I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. There's been moments I'm really proud of and a lot of moments I look back and I'm pretty disappointed with myself for. But the things that I've done really don't define who I am.

"I'm a kind-hearted person who loves people and, through it all, lost some of my best qualities. For that, I'm sorry. But what I can say is that I'm looking forward to being someone you can look at and be proud of."
