Is the Duchess of Cambridge really due this week?
Kate Middleton's alleged due date of July 13 has passed, and both Celebrity Dirty Laundry and HuffPost suspect "something is off." Husband Prince William played polo in two matches for charity this weekend with brother Prince Harry, and sister Pippa Middleton, not one to miss out on the action, attended a wedding in Vienna.
Middleton left Kensington Palace on Friday to wait out the rest of her pregnancy at her parent's home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, as temperatures soared to 89.4 degrees today in England, the year's highest on record. When she does go into labor, a helicopter will transport the Duchess straight to St. Mary's Hospital's luxurious Lindo wing, where she will give birth naturally barring complications.
Reporters have already been camped out outside the Lindo wing since July 8, causing Celebrity Dirty Laundry to question whether or not the public has been "duped" by the alleged due date, although the palace has not released an official date.
Pippa Middleton looked chic in a coral and matching jacket by Matthew Williamson before changing into a black gown while attending the wedding of Chanel ambassador Caroline Sieber and Fritz von Westenholz. Pippa has been spotted at a variety of wedding events this year, stunning in glamorous and eye-catching looks, including a unique peplum dress in black and white splatter print and fashion-forward Tabitha Webb dress at the Coronation Festival while press camp outside of the hospital, awaiting for the Duchess to go into labor.
Are the royals keeping it cool while waiting for the royal baby, or is there something we don't know? Perhaps it has something to do with Prince William's own childhood experiences of being in the spotlight.
"Privacy is key for Prince William as he saw the way his mother, Princess Diana, suffered at the hands of the paparazzi, and he wants to make sure this does not happen to his wife or his own children," Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty Magazine, told Reuters.
