With his band fun. on hiatus and fellow bandmate Jack Antonoff hitting it big with Bleachers, Nate Ruess is venturing into the world of television.
The singer will join "The Voice" as a key advisor this season, according to Buzzfeed.
"I'm actually going to be schlepping my talents down the road to Burbank where I have the honor of being this season's key advisor on 'The Voice!'" he said. "I'm super excited and always happy to lend whatever knowledge I have to other vocalists. Plus I've heard nothing but great things about Blake, Pharrell, Christina, and the guy with the tattoos."
Ruess will appear as an advisor for three episodes beginning on March 23. He also told Buzzfeed that while .fun has been on a break, he has been working on solo material.
Fun. gained fame with their 2012 album "Some Nights," which went platinum and sold more than 1.5 million copies. The band went on to win the Grammy for Best New Artist and Song of the Year for the hit "We Are Young."
