A Missouri mother is fuming at her son's elementary school after she said staff managed to lose him for the fourth time, KMOV reported on Friday.
Azoria Moralez said she can't understand why Larimore Elementary School officials keep placing her 6-year-old son on the wrong bus- even though she lives within minutes of the school.
"He ended up on the bus, the furthest bus, from the school," Moralez said as she recalled one incident. "They ended up finding him [and] my mother had to call the police."
Moralez said Larimore Elementary has lost her son at least four separate times since he was in kindergarten. He's now in the first grade. She wants him transferred to another school but is not having any luck.
"You can look out my other window and see the school. That's how close we are," Moralez told KMOV. "I don't know who to talk to with to get him transferred. No one is returning my calls."
Hazelwood School District officials told KMOV they are looking into an incident with Moralez's son.
"The District has and continues to investigate this situation. The student boarded the correct bus, but the driver drove the route incorrectly. We are working with the family to make sure this does not occur again."
Moralez took action into her own hands and removed her son from the school. But she soon received a letter threatening legal action if she doesn't bring him back, she told the station.
"Take me to court because he's not going back," Moralez said.
In the meantime, she is tutoring her son at home.
