A foul stench led to the discovery of a dead body in the parking lot of a Texas Wal-Mart, KHOU-TV reported.
Customers at the Houston Wal-Mart detected the offending smell coming from a silver SUV and alerted the store's management, staff told the station.
Deer Park police arrived and cornered off the area as a crime scene, however an initial investigation found no obvious signs of foul play. The Harris County medical examiner is expected to determine a cause of death.
The man, whose name is being withheld, is believed to have been in the vehicle for at least a week.
