Pharrell Williams is being named "Fashion Icon Of The Year" by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
"If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him," Diane von Furstenberg, president of the CFDA, said in a statement Wednesday.
People love Williams' style because he dresses how most young boys would if they had access to a celebrity-sized closet - except Williams does it on purpose!
Williams took this over-sized boy look so far that he actually has a clothes line called "Billionaire Boys Club" and a shoe line called "Ice Cream Shoewear." The names perfectly capture his look.
Williams has also designed glasses and jewelry for Louis Vuitton and owns a New York City boutique.
The 41-year-old "Happy" singer also succeeded this year with tons of daring fashion statements including shorts suits, denim tuxedos, bell boy uniforms, and more.
Aside from fashion, Williams was also spotted making statements in the world recently by making his 2013 record "G I R L" go platinum, starring as a coach on "The Voice," and collaborating with other artists including Daft Punk and Robin Thicke.
Williams will be accepting the award on June 1 at the CFDA Fashion Awards in the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.
