American Michael Boatwright Wakes Up Speaking Only Swedish; Writes About Aliens And Illuminati Years Earlier (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

An American man was found unconscious in a California hotel room with a bunch of tennis rackets and amnesia; he was only able to speak Swedish when he woke up.

A driver's license found in the hotel room said the man was named Michael Boatwright and was born in Florida, he disagrees, CNN reported.

When shown photos of himself Boatwright wasn't able to recognize the man in the pictures, he claimed to be Swedish and named Johan Ek.

Social worker Lisa Hunt-Vasquez contacted the military after finding a Department of Veterans Affairs ID among Boatwright's personal effects.

It was confirmed he did serve in the navy as an aviation mechanic from 1971 to 1973.

Hunt-Vasquez also found the Website of the TPR English School in China, where Boatwright had apparently taught for a few years. He had written an article on the school's website.

"I had spent 10 years teaching in Japan (married to a Japanese and we have a 12 year old son) before coming to China. Japan is vastly different but at the same time you tend to find subtle similarities as you go," the article said.

The social worker also found websites Boatwright visited under the screen name "'korstemplar." On his profile he identified himself as Swedish.

Boatwright's journal-like entries on the site talked about aliens and the Illuminati.

"The truth is much stranger and more interesting than fiction! " Boatwright wrote in 2010.

The clues led Hunt-Vasquez to discover the disoriented man had gotten married and fathered a son while living in Japan, then moved to China. After his Visa expired in May he went to California, CNN reported.

Boatwright said during this time he was doing no such thing, instead he had operated Kultur Konsult Nykoping, a Swedish consultation company.

His sister was located in Louisiana, but she claimed to have not seen him for 10 years.

"I haven't talked to him in years. He just disappeared," Michelle Brewer told The Desert Sun.

Not knowing where he's from is starting to affect Boatwright's emotional state, according to CNN.

"They said he was getting depressed because he wasn't able to communicate," Linda Kosvic, chairman of the Vasa Order of America chapter in San Jacinto, California, said. "We've been trying to provide him support and make him feel more comfortable."

Boatwright is most likely in a fugue state, which can be brought on by trauma. People in this condition are often confused about their life events and tend to travel far from home.
