Amanda Bynes Twitter: Star Apologizes For 'Cancer Patient' Tweet to Vanity Fair: 'I Feel Like I Should Have AIDS' (SEE IT)

Troubled star Amanda Bynes gets a lot of flack for her crazy Twitter rants, but perhaps the most offensive tweet came last night when Bynes tweeted that she feels like a "cancer patient" for not having any hair underneath her colorful assortment of wigs.

"Not having having makes me feel like a cancer patient," she wrote, causing fans and critics alike to respond telling her to "shut up," cursing at her or simply writing "no" in response. Bynes usually wears a wig over her partially bald, shaved head.

The star has since left up the offending tweet, but wrote in to Vanity Fair today to explain herself and what she meant.

"Oh my God, let me just be the first to say: I can completely see how offense was taken," she wrote in to the magazine today at 1 p.m. "I truly apologize for the miscommunication (sp) and any and all resulting discomfort or anger. I'm not a wretched person with zero sense of perspective or respect for fellow human beings; rather, the actual explanation of my statement is something far more banal. No, Arendtites, not 'banal' as in 'the banality of evil'-banal as in, this was a very stupid grammatical error. You'll see the offending tweet below."

She included the tweet before continuing, "What I intended to say was 'not having hair makes me feel like a cancer: patient.' That is, waiting for my hair to grow has made me a more patient person-a trait, in the astrological community, typically associated with those born under the Cancer sign. I'm actually an Aries (traditional traits: determinedness, ambitiousness, impulsiveness, and, I can now say, inexcusably poor grasp of punctuation.)"

At 1:15 p.m. the star followed up with the statement: "Not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have [AIDS]." Then at 1:16 p.m., she sent a final message to clarify: "Christ, I've done it again. I meant: not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have aides, lower-case and with an "e." Aides because I'm clearly in something of a public-relations quagmire. Please accept my second apology."

It may not make much sense, but neither does Bynes's recent erratic behavior. Her family fears for her health and safety, while the star insists she's fine amid legal troubles and daily tweets about how everyone (including the President and First Lady!) is "ugly," and her love for plastic surgery that many speculate has never even been done.

Bynes has been spotted many times in NYC and out and about behaving strangely, dancing by herself while strolling down the street and making odd movements while working out on the treadmill.

Currently Bynes is reportedly working on her rap career, which she is very serious about, and rapper Waka Flocka Flame has claimed to help her produce her upcoming album.

Was Byne's write-in to Vanity Fair real, or just satire? You decide!
