BlackBerry A10 Specs Leaked: Presentation Slide Shows Device's Full Product Rundown (PHOTO)

BlackBerry has been subject to price cuts be retailers on its newest smartphone, the Z10, which can only be described as the precursors to a completely failed brand or a rev up to the unveiling of a new device.

Despite Amazon and Best Buy cutting the price of the Z10 by more than half, a company spokesperson claimed that the time was right to slash the price of the Z10, not because of the brand's diminished sales, which continue to fall below expectations, but because new devices are on the horizon.

It appears that wasn't just a band-aid for BlackBerry to buy time to find its way out of this sales slump, according to a leaked presentation slide with allegedly full specifications of the new BlackBerry A10, the device appears to be almost in customer's hands for use.

If the specs presented in the slide, leaked by Crackberry, are true, the A10 will use a 5-inch display screen, have a 7020p touchscreen display paired with a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and quad-core graphics chip. The complete rundown of the specifications can be found in the leaked slide image above.

The specs appear to be on par with what could be expected from BlackBerry in a new flagship smartphone. The phone will run on BlackBerry 10.2 and, although some may be disappointed with the fact that the phone will run at 720p resolution rather than the hoped for 1080p, it makes a lot of sense. Some developers could find it challenging to support a new screen resolution. Gigaom.com points out that developer challenges are the exact wrong thing that BlackBerry needs right now amid device sales that have yet to meet expectations.

Many insiders speculate that the new hardware won't be the thing to get people to start spending their money to make BlackBerrys their default device. The problem for a lot of people is less about hardware and more about having to adapt to a brand new BlackBerry operating system when iOS and Android have been so popular the past few years. The two operating systems are so well engrained into people's lives that many believe people just don't want to explore a new version at this point.
