Rachael Ray immediately jumped on board when "Big Morning Buzz Live" invited her to appear on a special episode of the VH1 morning show at 36,000 feet in the air.
"I think it's very cool. Why not?" Ray tells Headlines & Global News in an exclusive interview. "I like to jump out of planes and I'll try anything once."
Fortunately, Ray remained safely aboard the JetBlue flight that flew her and the rest of the "Big Morning Buzz Live" crew to South by Southwest in Austin, Tex., on Wednesday. Co-host Nick Lachey did an in-flight interview with the celebrity chef and played a game that included asking Ray the question, "What is your celebrity hall pass?"

Ray will kick off her 8th annual "Feedback" event at the famous Stubb's BBQ in Austin over the weekend. She also will host her fifth annual "Feedback House" which runs for three nights, starting Thursday, and features a number of great bands and food.
"Every year we just try to make sure that no matter what genre or type of music you're into that you'll have a band that you'll dig listening to at our shows," Ray says. "If you come and attend the house, we try to keep it very eclectic - 'back in the day' acts mixed in with up-and-comers."
The "Feedback" event combines her two loves, food and music, both of which she enjoys with her husband John Cusimano. He's a lawyer by trade but also fronts a band called The Cringe, which will perform at the party on Saturday, March 21.
"We both enjoy music and food together. I love to cook and we love to listen to bands," Ray says. "We're big vinyl hounds and we just love music, all types. We go to the opera together. We go to indie rock festivals together."
She continues, "I wanted to create an event, with the help of great sponsors, for people to come enjoy great food, great music and maybe a couple cocktails."
"Rachael Ray's Feedback" event will take place on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Her "Feedback House" will be open on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
