"American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez stepped around the judges table last night to perform her latest single "Feel the Light" from animated "Home" soundtrack.
In a stunning and subdued performance, Lopez graced the stage in a long, white gown that seemingly appeared and disappeared while transforming and morphing into a kaleidoscope of color and imagery.
The 45-year-old singer is best known for performing with a plethora of back-up dancers and breaking a sweat. Her performance last night required her to stand perfectly still on a perch to allow her extended gown to drape around her.
J Lo may have made it all look easy, but the superstar revealed after the show that it definitely was not.
"It was hard for me," she told Headlines & Global News exclusively. "I'm used to moving around a lot so just standing very still is not the easiest thing for me."
Despite any reservations, Lopez was ecstatic with the results.
"It was awesome," she beamed. "It was beautiful, I had a vision for what I wanted to do so it was like a dream come true for me to actually see it come to life."
"American Idol" returns next week to its regular Wednesday time-slot at 8 p.m. on Fox.
