Unlike other celebs Zoe Saldana isn't planning to stop shopping at Dolce & Gabbana in the wake of their controversial comments about same-sex parenting.
Recently the company's founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, said spoke with the Italian magazine Panorama about gay adoptions and artificial insemination.
"You are born and you have a father and a mother. Or at least it should be so, why do not convince me the children of chemistry, synthetic children, wombs for rent, seeds selected from a catalog, " Dolce told the magazine in Italian.
Although Saldana made it a point to say she doesn't agree with their beliefs, she added that it doesn't mean she is going to stop giving the men her business.
"I'm certainly not going to stop wearing Dolce, and I'm certainly not going to be refuting when they are adopting synthetic children, however they wanted to say it," Saldana, who is known for her role as Anamaria in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,' told E! News. "I do think things are lost in translation."
She added that stopping to wear the brand over their comment "would be the stupidest thing."
Other celebs including Elton John, Madonna, Ricky Martin and Andy Cohen publicly said they would boycott the brand because of the founder's remarks.
It's possible Saldana is on to something when she points out a potential misunderstanding in the interview's translation. (She has experience with Italian-English translations from her Italian-native husband, Marco Perego.)
Since the backlash, both Dolce and Gabbana clarified their comments saying they didn't intend to judge other people's choices.
