‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Cast: Jennifer Lawrence Confirms Last Appearance As Mystique

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed her exit from the "X-Men" franchise after she finishes production on "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"It is my last one, actually, yes," Lawrence told MTV News.

The Oscar-winner has starred as Mystique in two previous "X-Men" movies: "First Class" in 2011 and "Days of Future Past" in 2014. Rebecca Romijn played the role in three "X-Men" movies before Lawrence.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will begin shooting next month and premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016. The movie will wrap up the storylines of the "First Class"-era characters, including Mystique, Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Erik Lensherr a.k.a. Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Hank a.k.a. Beast (Nicholas Hoult).

Lawrence is finishing up production on her film, "Joy" with director David O. Russell, who has directed her in "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle." She also will close the book on her other movie franchise, "The Hunger Games," when "Mockingjay - Part 2" premieres on Nov. 20.
