Maci Bookout hesitated in her return to the "Teen Mom" world, but she knows the second time around will be better.
"It's a positive experience and I feel like I'm allowed to be happy and allowed to be excited," Bookout told E! News. "Before, it was just negative. I wanted to hide from the world and not talk about it because I was only 16."
The 23-year-old will soon give her six-year-old son Bentley a baby sister, her first child with boyfriend Taylor McKinney. The couple also has decided on a name for their daughter.
"It's Jayde and her middle name is Carter," Bookout said. "No more changes. We finally agree and really feel like this is the perfect fit."
Bookout wants to wait until she and Kinney have learned to take care of two children before they get married. The "Teen Mom OG" star is also finishing her college degree at Chattanooga State in Tennessee.
As for her relationship with Bentley's father, her ex Ryan Edwards, the two share a more civilized relationship now.
"We don't argue with each other," Bookout told People. "I guess we just learned it's just not worth the energy, and we've grown up a little bit."
Bookout is due in 11 weeks and Bentley is ready to become a big brother.
"He's so excited for the baby," she said. "And I'm excited for him to have a sibling. I think it will be good for him to finally have to share the spotlight."
"Teen Mom OG" airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
