"The Fosters" season two finale ended with a fatal car crash involving Jesus, Mariana and their birth mother Ana. The ABC Family show closed before revealing who exactly died, but one of the stars may have already sealed their character's fate.
Jake T. Austin, who plays the adopted son Jesus of Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum), tweeted on Monday that he would not be returning to the show next season.
I'm honored to have been a part of such a groundbreaking series, but I personally want to let you know that my time on the show....

has come to an end. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family, it's been a pleasure. -JTA — Jake T. Austin (@JakeTAustin) March 24, 2015
In the final moments, a pregnant Ana (Alexandra Barreto) started having labor pains as she tried to drive the last few blocks to the hospital. As she entered the intersection, a speeding SUV plowed into the passenger side of her vehicle, hitting Jesus directly.
Stef accepted the emergency call out to the accident from her police cruiser, unaware that she would be rolling up on one of her children possibly dead on the scene.
Co-creator Bradley Bredeweg tweeted his own message shortly after Austin's and hinted that Jesus' death may not be so imminent.
All of us at #TheFosters wish Jake the very best. But we are still a family. And as I said, not everything is what it seems on #TheFosters

The third season of "The Fosters" will premiere later this summer on ABC Family.
