New York Fashion Week: Zac Posen Wows Crowd with Naomi Campbell and Other Supermodels on the Runway (PHOTOS)

New York Fashion Week's Sunday night got a special high-profile show from designer Zac Posen. The 7:00pm fashion show, held on the Avery Fisher Hall balcony at Lincoln Center, attracted a gaggle of A-list guests. But it wasn't just the front-row who got all the superstar attention - it was the models. Posen opened his spring 2013 collection with world renowned supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Posen's show was especially fashionably late. It was nearly an hour after the scheduled showtime that the show actually began. The long wait is the price to pay when you have a top model cast.

Campbell opened the show with her world-famous fierce strut; she wore a red and white floral frock which featured cap sleeves and a sexy bustier. Following the famous diva were Karolina Kurkova, Alek Wek, Angela Lindvall, and Coco Rocha, who closed the show in a gorgeous cream multi-tiered bridal gown.

Posen did not just include legendary top models; he also included today's hottest stars. Popular fresh faces Lindsey Wixson, Hilary Rhoda, Isabeli Fontana, and Crystal Renn walked among Campbell and Rocha in the spectacular show.

The designer has some loyal model friends. Just three days ago Rocha tweeted that she would be sitting this season's fashion week out because of her commitment to upcoming modeling competition TV show, "The Face." However, just hours before Posen's show, the model tweeted a cryptic message: "So remember when I said I'd be sitting out New York Fashion Week this season? That may not be entirely true." Despite the busy filming schedule for "The Face," which airs on the Oxygen network next year, Rocha and the series' "co-mentors" Campbell and Kurkova could not stay away from Posen's runway. Like Rocha, Campbell also had fashion fans going wild. Not only did she finally join the Twitter network, she tweeted the unexpected surprise, "About to walk the @ZacPosen show at #NYFW...you ready for me?"
