The cast for "X-Men: Apocalypse" just keeps growing.
We knew that a mix of old and new characters were going to be in the film, along with a possible cameo from Channing Tatum's Gambit. Now fans are getting confirmation for a few of those new faces.
Director Bryan Singer announced on his Instagram today that newcomer Lana Condor will play the role of Jubilation Lee, AKA Jubilee. The character was a popular protagonist of the animated series from the 1990s and has the power to control energy plasmoids that are like fireworks.
Condor joins a cast that already includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne reprising their roles alongside newcomers Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Evan Peters is expected to return as Quicksiler and Oscar Isaac will be playing the big bad, Apocalypse.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit theaters May 27, 2016.
