After the tragic and shocking death of actor Cory Monteith, "Glee" producers and executive have to come up with a decision on how to move forward with season five. According to Perez Hilton, the executives had an emergency meeting to decide how to gracefully remove Monteith's character, Finn Hudson, from the show. They also have to decide if they should keep Hudson's girlfriend, played by actress Lea Michele, on for the new season.
According to the Mirror, "Glee" producers have already decided that they are going to carry on with the show despite the tragic lost. They are also reporting that Michele will continue to play Rachel Berry but bosses have not figured out exactly how they will remove Hudson's character. There have been rumors that they were planning on recasting the character.
"'Glee' is definitely not cancelled," a source told TMZ. "If you look at the dollars and cents of the show and that it was very much an ensemble with new kids being added last year when some graduated. It's clear that the show wasn't just about one character."
According to Kpopstarz.com, some sources close to the actress aren't so convinced that she will be returning after losing her boyfriend and "soul mate." The two originally met on the set of "Glee."
"Lea is going through hell right now. She had her whole life planned with Cory - he was her prince charming," a source told Hollywood Life. "Even though he hadn't proposed yet, Lea was positive they were going to get married and have kids together; there was no doubt in her mind that Cory was her soul mate."
Whether Lea Michele will return to "Glee" is still a question many fans are wondering. As Wetpaint points out, the actress is very close to her fans and she might continue on with the show so everyone could work through the death together but at the same time it could be extremely hard for her to return to set day after day. Either way the actress has been receiving numerous support from her fans on Twitter and Facebook all promising to support whatever decision she makes.
