The fifth season of "The Walking Dead" is quickly coming to an end. But unlike many of the walkers that have met their demise this season, the show hasn't bitten off more than it can chew. In fact, "The Walking Dead" has been one of television's most entertaining series recently. But all of that fast-paced action and entertainment may not be enough to save some fan favorites.
Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming 90-minute season finale, and what she said may upset some fans.
"You can rest assured that not only will walker blood will be spilled, but there will be a few surprises and some sad losses that no one, I think, will be able to predict," Hurd said of the finale.
Could that mean that viewers will have to say goodbye to some of their favorite characters? Rick surely isn't in the best position following his public outburst. Sasha seems determined to put herself in harm's way. Danger lurks around every corner in "The Walking Dead" but is it about to snatch one of the main characters this week?
Fans will not only have to worry about untimely deaths but also in-group schisms that could threaten everything.
"You know, we have a few surprises up our sleeve - I would throw that out there," Hurd said. "But yes, we're seeing more of the division, not only among the Alexandrians and our group, but within our group as well."
Who will be in the most danger? Which characters aren't seeing eye-to-eye and why? Dead-heads have a lot of questions but no answers.
