Apple is give users the opportunity to get a look at the apps for its Apple Watch before the gadget becomes available for demos on April 10.
The tech giant made the first set of third-party Apple Watch apps available at iTunes' App store on Thursday, first according to 9 to 5 Mac. Many of the Apple Watch updates are will only give the apps Apple Watch compatibility, but some are unique apps designed to host specific data/functions for the watch.
Many of the apps that are available were used when the Apple Watch was first presented to smartwatch fans.
9 to 5 Mac predicts that the apps "are likely being released publicly now to allow the inevitable Apple Watch reviewers to access third-party Apple Watch apps. These apps will likely also be included with the Apple Store Apple Watches to show customers how familiar third-party apps from their iPhone can work with the new device."
The uploaded apps include:
- Air Canada
- AliPay
- Babbel
- Dark Sky
- ECB Cricket
- Evernote
- Expedia
- Kitchen Stories
- Line
- MLB.com At Bat
- Procreate Pocket

- Redfin
- Runtastic Six Pack
- Sky Guide
- SPG: Starwood Hotels and Resorts
- The New York Times

While it is nice to have these apps available, it's unlikely that this will increase the download rate. Many users have already expressed their dislike of having a new Apple Watch app in their interface without having the option to delete it.
